Video Poker: Basic Game Strategy of Deuces Wild

In playing Deuces Wild video poker game, the most important thing to remember is that the four deuces (Two) can become a replacement for any other card, any other hand rank, in any card suit. This is what makes Deuces Wild an exciting video poker game.

For example, a deuce of hearts can be used to represent as the fifth card to complete the video poker hand of a straight flush in diamonds. Rule of a thumb, never throw away any deuce in Deuces Wild video poker game.

This Deuces Wild game strategy only applies to a standard game of video poker with the Deuces Wild variation. Other variations of Deuces Wild will need a different applicable game strategy.

If you are dealt by the video poker machine with:

Four Deuces - You need to keep all the five cards. There is no possible improvement for this video poker hand.

Three Deuces - Try to complete a Wild Royal Flush and Five of a Kind, or else keep only the three deuces.

Two Deuces - Try to complete any video poker hand that is Four of a Kind or even better. You can keep any four cards to make a Royal Flush, or else only keep the two deuces.

One Deuce - You can hold all the video poker playing cards shown except of four cards to a Royal Flush. You can keep four cards to a Straight Flush and three cards to a Royal Flush, or else keep only the one deuce.

If you are dealt with no deuces at all, this is the game strategy for Deuces Wild video poker:

- Must keep all the paying video poker hands with the exception of keeping four cards to a Royal Flush rather than choosing a less paying video poker hand.

- Must keep four cards to a Straight Flush.

- Must keep three cards to a Royal Flush.

- Must keep any one pair or if the Full House has similar payout as that of Four of a Kind, must keep two pairs only.

- Must keep four cards to a Flush.

- Must keep four successive cards to a Straight.

- Must keep three cards to make a Straight Flush.

- Must keep any two cards of Ten, Jack, Queen, or King if all have the same card suit.

- If you are not dealt by the video poker machine with any of the situations above, then discard all cards in the present video poker hand and draw new five cards.

In making your move in Deuces Wild and any other video poker game, see to it that you are pretty sure of each move you make. Don't be too hurry in deciding which cards to keep or discard because the video poker machine will patiently wait for you the whole time.
